Bank in the Form of a Pig, designed in 2003, is a piggy bank that is cast from a real pig.
Bank in the form of a pig is the cornerstone of REALITY, a series of products that are “sampled” from existing sources and push the boundaries of industrial design. Casting objects in a new material is an idea borrowed from the art world; it forces people to re-consider that which has been cast – to look anew at the structure of rope, the form of fruit, or the coat of a pig. Cast in polyester resin from a pig that died of natural causes.
Bank in the Form of a Pig has been offered in many colors and finishes, but matte white is a perennial favorite and always in the line.
